  Arjun Sajnani  is one of the distinctive figures in Bangalore's English theatre landscape, with a career spanning six decades as a director, actor and filmmaker. The founder of  Theatre Arts , Sajnani has directed a wide range of productions, from international classics such as  Amadeus ,  M. Butterfly  and  The Kiss of the Spider Woman  to the works of Indian playwright  Girish Karnad , including  The Fire and the Rain ,  Tughlaq  and  Crossing to Talikota . His theatre has often been marked by scale, visual imagination and a willingness to take on ambitious material.
